Hey there, I’m Yigu! I’ve been part of the Melody Music Studio family for over 11 years. I started here as a piano student, and now I’m excited to have the chance to teach students of my own. I’ve also taken part in many of the studio’s recitals over the years, as well as performed in public spaces, festivals, competitions,so I understand what it feels like to learn, practise, and perform. Along the way, I completed my RCM Level 10 Practical examination and developed a thorough knowledge of piano performance.

I’ve been teaching for about a year, and I really enjoy helping students learn at their own pace. I want lessons to feel comfortable and encouraging, whether a student is just starting out or has been playing for a while. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned and help students become more confident with the piano, with a focus on practical skills and performance rather than theory.

I aim to have my students enjoy making music and feel proud of their progress. I think that is important and one of the key takeaways of my experience of learning piano over the years. My goal is to make piano lessons something they look forward to while helping them build practical skills and memories they can continue to enjoy for years to come.
